Crafty reason to visit the town centre

Published on Tuesday, 7th November 2017 in Markets and fairs news

Looking for something a bit different, or a unique hand-made gift?

Rotherham’s next Crafters’ Market takes place on Saturday (11 November), when the town centre will be filled with craft stalls.

More than 35 stalls will be selling their wares on Effingham Street and Howard Street, so there’s sure to be something to suit everyone.

Among the items on offer will be cards, glassware, knitted goods, sweet gifts, cupcakes, Christmas decorations, fabrics, handbags, wooden trains, doorstops, jewellery, art, teddy bears and much, much more!

Cllr Denise Lelliott, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Jobs and the Local Economy, said: “The Crafters’ Market is a new venture for Rotherham town centre and we were delighted by the fantastic response to last month’s market from our local makers and craftspeople.

“At this time of year many people are searching for gifts that are unique and a bit special – you’ll be spoilt for choice at the Crafters’ Market!”

The Crafters Market takes place on the second Saturday of every month from 10.00 am – 3.00 pm, with the next one taking place this Saturday, 11 November. Visitors to the Crafters' Market can also take advantage of all-day weekend free parking at Forge Island car park in the town centre.

Stalls cost just £5 – including table and gazebo. Crafters who are interested in taking a stall at a future market to showcase their goods, can contact the Council’s Markets Team.
