It’s raining books!

Published on Tuesday, 5th June 2018 in Council news news

Rotherham Libraries have joined forces with six other Library Authorities within the UK (Doncaster, Peterborough, Reading, Richmond, Shropshire and Stoke) in a Cloud Link project.

We will share eBook titles and offer even more choice to our customers.

The eBooks are available to borrow now and have increased the collection by over 10,000 titles! Issue figures are already showing an increase as users of Cloud Library are faced with a much wider choice of content.

Cllr Sarah Allen, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Cleaner, Greener communities, said: “The expansion of the collection that this project brings is very exciting and I know the people of Rotherham will take advantage of all the extra titles that are now available to them. Reading is essential to our lives; whether it is reading for pleasure, learning or as a boost to our mental health, and Rotherham Libraries are ensuring that our residents have access to an incredible range of material.”

Once you join Rotherham Libraries you can borrow any of our eBook titles for free. If you join online and supply your email address, you can have your membership details sent to you so you can start borrowing eBooks straight away.

Your Rotherham Libraries membership also includes eMagazines, eAudioBooks and eComics, as well as an abundance of other material and services at all our libraries.
