School crossing patrols are provided where children are in danger from road traffic when walking to and from school. Patrols could be anywhere on a direct route, not necessarily directly outside a school.

To report a problem with an existing school crossing patrol, contact the Council's Facilities Services team by email to facilities.services@rotherham.gov.uk

If you would like to request a new school crossing patrol, contact our Transportation Unit. We will carry out a survey of the area to see if it meets the national criteria for patrols.

By law, drivers must stop when a school crossing patrol shows a 'Stop' for children sign.
