Pedestrian Training
Every year the Road Safety Team provides pedestrian training to children in Rotherham Schools. We use local accident statistics to target schools where children are most vulnerable or at risk. In 2009 we trained 450 children!
Pedestrian Training can be tailored for a particular year group or to suit the features of the roads outside school. The children practise:
- Finding a safe place
- Crossing safely between cars
- Crossing at junctions
