Serious Case Reviews
Working Together to Safeguard Children (2013) requires a Local Safeguarding Children's Board to consider whether a serious case review should be undertaken when a child's death involves abuse or neglect; where a child sustains serious and permanent impairment of health and development through abuse or neglect and the case gives rise to concerns about the way local professionals work together; or where a parent has been murdered in a domestic abuse situation and a homicide review is being initiated. All of the agencies represented on Rotherham Safeguarding Children Board are committed to learning from practice and to continuously improving children's services.
