Waverley Walkabout and One Stop Shop

The new development of Waverley currently sits across two wards, Brinsworth and Catcliffe Ward and the Rother Vale Ward.

Representatives from the new Waverley Community Council attended a  Ward meeting and asked if a multi-agency walkabout could be arranged. The aim of this walkabout was to bring people together who work and live in the area. Representatives from the Community Council gave a guided tour of the area to Councillors, RMBC Neighbourhood Staff and RMBC Early Help staff along with the Waverley Events Team and Active Regen.  The group discussed potential ideas for new projects in the area and will arrange further walkabouts in the near future.

Their latest venture is Waverley One Stop Shop Exhibition.

Waverley Community Council and Waverley Events Committee are jointly planning an exhibition to be held at the Bessemer Room, AMP Technology Centre in Waverley. The event is on Thursday 3rd October, 2019 and will run from 4pm ‘til 7pm.

Rachel Graham, Clerk to Waverley Community Council said

we aim to have as many organisations as possible who are involved with the development of Waverley all together in the same place at the same time. We will have representatives from organisations who provide services to Waverley.   If people have a question, an issue or find anything confusing, feel ill informed or want to know anything about Waverley at all this is the place to come.

The event is free and open for residents to attend.  For more information please contact  Rachel at waverleycc2019@gmail.com
