Pop-Up ‘Street Talk’ Event and Family Fun Days

'Street Talk' is a partnership of four voluntary sector organisations; MESH Community Cohesion Services (Mediation Sheffield), Who Is Your Neighbour, VOZ Theatre Arts and the Refugee Council, all working together with Rotherham Borough Council staff.

The project was launched with a pop-up street event on 8th August for both adults and children. Families attending took part in craft activities and were treated to a packed lunch whilst having the opportunity to speak to us about what matters to them.

We aim to open up channels of communication to enable people to begin to express their own feelings about, and aspirations for their community. We will use the events to capture residents' views and ideas on how to develop the project.

'Street Talk' will hold a number of facilitated conversations and pop-up events in and around Duncan Street and Ellis Street; where we hope to identify a number of people who are motivated to take a pro-active role in developing their neighbourhood with support from us.

Look out for posters advertising the next event.
