Community Chest & Community Leadership Funding

The Brinsworth and Catcliffe Ward members have allocated some of their Capital Budget to be used as a ‘Community Chest’. They would like to invite community groups and organisations within their ward to bid into the Community Chest for Capital projects.

Brinsworth & Catcliffe Community Chest

Your application must be aligned to the Ward Plan priorities shown below and fund activities or services that support and tackle one or more of these. All projects submitted  must   be   delivered  and  allocations  spent  by  31st March 2020.

Capital Funding can be used to purchase pieces of equipment and items of fixed assets (or improvements to them) that will be of use or benefit for more than one financial year, e.g. buildings, street furniture, fixtures, computer equipment etc.   Deadline for applications to Community Chest – Friday, 6th September, 2019.

The current Brinsworth and Catcliffe Ward priorities are as follows:-

 

Ward Plan Priorities

Support community organisations to be well connected to partners, the council and each other enabling them to deliver locally based services and activities.

Develop and deliver community safety initiatives in response to emerging hotspots and areas of concern.

Support and develop community based initiatives that tackle environmental issues and improve the appearance of hotspot areas

4

Support  initiatives to decrease loneliness and social isolation and improve physical and mental health and wellbeing

Community Leadership Fund

Each Councillor has a small pot of revenue funding that can be used for the purpose of an organisation’s ongoing daily activity / services, e.g. general running costs, room hire, activity  sessions, trips, events etc

Applications submitted to the community leadership fund must be aligned to the Ward Plan priorities shown below. Community Leadership funding applications will be considered on receipt by the relevant Councillors, and  if  approved  all  funding must be spent  by  31st  March, 2020
