New Coronavirus advice – what’s changed?

we have updated you this week on the changes to Coronavirus restrictions and what that means for your work.

Currently we will continue to work as we have been during the first phase of lockdown.

However, a number of changes come into force today that will affect some aspects of life for many local people.

I’d recommend you read the government’s FAQs to familiarise yourself with what’s changed and answer some of your questions about work, travel, exercise and school.

You can read the Government’s FAQs here.

In addition to this, I think the advice from Terri Roche, Rotherham’s Director of Public Health, is particularly worth noting:

“It is still very clear that we must continue to take the utmost care to not undo the good work that we have already achieved together in containing the virus.

We need to stay alert around our own actions to make sure that we maintain social distancing, no matter what we are now doing.”

So the key messages are:

  • Stay at home as much as possible
  • Work from home if you can
  • Continue to follow social distancing
  • Wash your hands regularly

Self isolate if you or anyone in your household has symptoms
