Rotherham in Bloom Gardening Competition

The Rotherham in Bloom annual Garden Competition is now open – and this year everyone can enter.

We know many people have been spending more time in the garden during the Covid-19 crisis, meaning many are looking absolutely spectacular.

The competition has previously only been open to council tenants but this year entries from both council and non-council tenants are welcomed, meaning any Rotherham resident can take part.

The competition, has several categories including: best garden, best young gardener under 25, best pots, planters and hanging baskets, best vegetable patch, best wildlife garden and new for this year, best children’s container garden.

Each category will have two winners, one Council and one non-Council tenant. As well as the honour of being Rotherham’s top gardeners, our winners will receive £100, with two runners up in each category each receiving £50.

To enter the competition you just need to visit our website and upload three photos of your garden, pot, patch, container or basket, along with a few words about what your garden means to you.

We’d love to see as many entries as possible, whether you have been a lifelong gardener or you’re a novice.

The closing date for entries is 31st August with winners announced in September.
