Financial Support
Different types of financial help are available:
- 16–19 Bursary - You may be able to get money to help with things like travel, meals, books, or equipment. Your PA and your college can help you apply for this. The bursary is there to make sure money is not a barrier to learning
- Higher Education Bursary – £2,000 from your local authority to help with costs like accommodation or rent, household bills, books and stationery, travel, tech equipment and any course specific items
- Travel costs – interviews, open days, training
- Hardship funds – colleges and universities
- Care Leaver Covenant - discounts (railcards, laptops)
