Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship lets you earn while you learn. It will provide you with real work experience, and you will build your CV and career contacts.
It can lead straight into a job or higher apprenticeship and your training costs are covered.
There are several different levels in an apprenticeship:
- Intermediate — Level 2: Equivalent to GCSEs.
- Advanced — Level 3: Equivalent to A levels.
- Higher — Levels 4–5: Equivalent to a foundation degree.
- Degree — Levels 6–7: Bachelor’s or master’s degree level.
- One pathway for every starting point: There are routes for different ages, skills and goals.
Work pattern and pay
- Hours: Typically 30–40 hours per week.
- Pay: You will earn at least the apprenticeship minimum wage.
- Holiday: You receive paid holiday.
How your PA can help
- Finding opportunities: Your Personal Advisor (PA) can help search for suitable apprenticeships.
- Applications: They can support your application and help you prepare a strong CV.
