Support for Young People Seeking Asylum

Coming to the UK on your own can feel overwhelming and lonely. We want you to feel welcome, safe and supported in Rotherham. If you arrived in the UK as a child or young person and sought asylum, we will refer you to either the Children in Care team or the First Response team so you get the right help quickly.

Age assessments

If there is uncertainty about how old you were when you arrived, an age assessment may take place. This is to make sure you get the correct support for your age.
