How long the FPS is open for
Rotherham launched its FPS for accommodation and support for looked after young people aged over 16 in January 2021. The FPS will ensure that young people are placed in good quality provisions whilst complying with financial regulations.
The FPS will be initially closed for 6 months and will re-open for new providers in June 2021. The refresh for new providers will be advertised through YORTENDER.
The system is expected to run for a minimum period of 10 years. This is an estimate only, and subject to continuation if the system continues to meet the requirements of the Local Authority.
The Accommodation and Support for looked after young people aged 16-25 will be open for new providers, as Tier 2 Providers, at any time from June 2021.
