About the small grants scheme
We’re offering a small grants scheme to help community groups and councils purchase and install a flagpole and flags. The grant will reimburse costs of up to £500 for:
- A flagpole
- A Union flag, a St George’s flag, or both
- Installation costs
This scheme is open to groups across the borough who want to celebrate and display flags at their premises.
Why the scheme exists
The scheme aims to promote community pride and encourage local groups to celebrate national identity and heritage. By supporting the installation of flagpoles and flags, we hope to create visible symbols of unity and civic pride across the borough.
