Who were we consulting
Everyone who lives and works in Rotherham had an opportunity to give their thoughts about the borough; from feeling safe and secure to the way jobs and homes are created, the consultation covered a whole range of issues and council services.
Twenty-seven targeted sessions were led by Cllr Chris Read alongside the council’s commissioners, councillors and partners, as well as focussed events with businesses and at Rotherham Show. Between them, they saw hundreds of people from a range of organisations, businesses and community groups across the borough, with hundreds more putting their views forward online.
In total, over 1,800 residents and workers took part, making it the biggest consultation exercise ever undertaken by the Council.
