Service description
I have been childminding for 26 years and in that time have cared for lots of children including those with SEN needs and disabilities. I have 3 registers assistants my husband Mark and my son Jacob and his partner Grace and use upto 3 or all of them if needed on a daily basis we are all first aide trained along with having numerous other qualifications between us. I am a qualified Level 3 in Children''''''''s Care, Learning and Development. I charge £5.50 to £6.50 per hour minimum fee per day £10We offer a playroom set out just for play with easy access toys that free flow to our decked garden play area outside. There are two sleep rooms for nap times and a large open plan living /dining room where children can access quiet time and a creative table along with the WII and TV.
My garden is fully accessible and totally safe, having a large climbing frame built around our outside play shed and a mud kitchen for children to fully explore the outside environment. There is a boat sandpit, water tables when the weather permits. We have a sunk trampoline with padded wall which the children love. The whole play area is covered with padding then articficial grass to keep children safe and offer all year round outside play. A large play shed offers another dimension to role play along with lots of cars, bikes, scooters, prams, balls, table and chairs.
The outside area does offer wheel chair access with wide gates and a ramp all leading back to the playroom entrance on a decked verandaed area which has a pull out awning to offer outside play even in the rain or to protect from the sun in the warmer months.
We have two 7 seater cars so we can go on outings as a group we a,ways use the correct car seats for each child and both cars have mot and insurance to cover business use. We are well established in caring for children with SEN and additional medical needs including tube fed children with very delayed speech and ex-prem babies with complexed need and allergies along with twins. We try to work in partnership with our parents to fully support their children’s learning and development to help them become confident and happy learners.

I work in partnership with outside agencies that support with your child to guarantee a multi-agency approach when meeting your child’s identified individual needs.
I have accessed training around areas relating to Special Educational Needs and disability with a commitment to keeping this updated.
