What is the Inclusion Pathway Panel?
The Inclusion Pathway Panel is designed to support children and young people who face significant barriers to education, typically due to behavioural challenges or special educational needs (SEN).
Core Purpose
- Preventing Exclusion: Providing early intervention for pupils at risk of permanent exclusion by identifying bespoke support strategies.
- Coordinating Support: Acting as a "single point of entry" for schools to access multi-agency advice from professionals in health, educational psychology, social care, and youth justice.
- Allocating Provision: Determining and funding short-to-medium-term alternative provision or "shared placements" (e.g., 6–12 weeks) to help reintegrate a child into mainstream education.
