Who can register?
- British, Irish, Commonwealth or European Union citizens over the age of 18. Check the list to see if you're entitled to register.
- 17 year olds, and some 16 year olds, are entitled to be included on the register as 'attainers'. This means they can vote when they reach the minimum voting age of 18. You can apply if you'll be 18 years old within a 12 month period starting from 1 December of any year. Find out more about voting on the GOV.UK website.
