Collecting Rotherham Exhibition
Our museum has been collecting since 1893! Our collections include Natural Sciences, Fine and Applied Arts, Archaeology, Social and Industrial History, the York and Lancaster Regimental collection and more. These objects help us to understand Rotherham’s place in the world, through the possibilities of research, study, display and the stories, or questions, that come with them.
We now care for over 75,000 objects, making it tricky to display them all at once. Collecting Rotherham invites you to travel through 130 years of collecting, with the display of our oldest and most recent additions to the collections – as well as some that have never been displayed before!
All free entry, and donations welcome
