OOSC EQuIP (Early Years Quality Improvement Planning)
As part of our quality improvement offer, Childcare Officers can support settings to complete the OOSC EQuIP (Early Years Quality Improvement Planning) audit tool.
The OOSC EQuIP audit enables settings to reflect on current practice and identify strengths and areas for development. The process:
- Explores how the Playwork Principles are embedded within the provision.
- Considers the quality of children's play experiences and opportunities.
- Reviews practice against the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Supports providers to develop meaningful quality improvement plans.
- Encourages continuous reflection and improvement across the setting.
Following completion of the audit, settings will receive feedback and agreed actions to support ongoing development and help ensure high-quality experiences for all children attending the provision.
