Healthy Holidays Annual Report 2025 to 2026

I am pleased to introduce the Rotherham Healthy Holidays Annual Report for 2025–2026. This report looks back at what we have achieved over the past year and the difference the programme has made to children and families across Rotherham.

Healthy Holidays is an important programme that helps children and young people stay healthy, active and happy during the school holidays. We know this can be a difficult time for some families, with increased costs and fewer opportunities for activities. This programme helps to reduce those pressures by offering free activities, healthy meals and safe places for children to spend time.

This year, we have continued to grow and improve the programme. We have worked with both new and existing providers to offer a wider range of activities across the borough. This means more children and families have been able to take part and benefit from what is on offer.

The feedback we receive shows the real difference the programme makes. Children enjoy trying new activities, building friendships and gaining confidence. Families value the support, and the opportunities provided help reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped make this programme a success. This includes our children and families, our partners, schools, providers, volunteers and council colleagues. Your commitment and support make a real difference.

We are proud of what has been achieved and look forward to continuing to develop the programme in the year ahead.
