Changes to your bin collections

During January and February we will write to all households with details of changes to bin collections and you will receive a new waste calendar along with your letter.

Between January and March

  • You will receive a new bin with a pink lid. Once your new bin with the pink lid has been delivered you should use this for any general household waste that cannot be recycled
  • Plastics, glass and tins will be collected from your black bin
  • Blue Box collections will stop
  • Paper and cardboard will continue to be collected from your green bin
  • You should continue to use your current bins and blue box until you receive your pink lid bin

The areas which will see the changes first are parts of Aughton, Aston, Bramley, Brecks, Broom, Broom Valley, Brampton Bierlow, Canklow, Clifton, East Dene, Eastwood, Herringthorpe, Kimberworth, Moorgate, Ravenfield, Swallownest, Swinton, Thorpe Hesley, Town Centre, Wath, Wellgate, West Melton, Wickersley, and Woodhouse Mill.
