  4. Voting by post
  5. Cancel a postal or proxy vote

There may be times when you cannot get to your polling station on polling day. This could be because you will be on holiday, or will be working away.

In these cases, you can choose to vote by post or appoint someone to vote on your behalf as a proxy. You must already have registered to vote before you can do this.

Further information about elections and voting is available from the Electoral Commission.
