We are asking people in Rotherham to share their views about proposed changes to the way the Early Help and Family Engagement Service is delivered.

The public consultation begins on Monday 9 April 2018 and runs for 60 days until Thursday 7 June 2018. This includes our statutory responsibility to consult with the public before making any significant changes to children's centres (section 5D of the Childcare Act 2006) .

Since the launch of our Early Help offer in January 2016, the Council has saved £1.2m by bringing together previously separate services into locality teams based across the borough. The offer now includes children's centres, youth provision, family support services, education welfare, youth offending services and programmes such as parenting and sleep tight.

We are now looking to make further changes to these services by making the most of the buildings and spaces we use and ensuring that the right services are offered at the right time and in the right place.

This phase will see further savings totalling £235k in 2018/19, with an additional £263k in 2019/20 (including proposed property savings) with minimal impact on current services.
