Apply for a Zoo licence
Please be aware before applying for a new Zoo licence:
- You are unable to apply to Rotherham Council until at least 2 months have passed from your submission of your notice of intent.
- You will need the date that your notification of intent was published.
- You will need the name of one local and one national newspaper that your notice of intent appeared in.
- You will need the Zoo operators name
- You will need the Zoo's proposed name
- You will need details of any proposed changes from the notice of intent.
If you are applying to renew your existing licence, you will only be able to do this if your existing licence is due to expire within the next 8 months.
Please ensure that you have the following details to hand before beginning this application:
- Zoo operators details
- Your current zoo licence number
This is a chargeable service and is charged at £1414.00 for first application, and £2089.00 at renewal.
