Making February fun!Published Tuesday, 30th January 2018
February doesn’t have to be a grey and dreary month – not when you’ve got Rotherham Fun Fest to look forward to!
The Fun Fest is a programme of fab events for the whole family to enjoy around Rotherham – from crafts to storytelling, outdoor activities and sports to theatre shows, there is something for everyone.
As well as an exciting programme of half term children’s events, there are activities taking place throughout the whole month, including toddler crafts at Clifton Park Museum, author visits and workshops at the borough’s libraries and Magical Mayhem when Big Apple Play City is taken over by Grimm and Co!
Organisations taking part in Fun Fest, organised on behalf of Rotherham Cultural Education Partnership, include Rotherham Council Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs, Clifton Park Museum, Boston Castle, Rotherham Theatres, Mega Active, Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust, Grimm and Co and Rotherham Underground Youth Theatre.
Cllr Taiba Yasseen, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Working and Cultural Services, said: “There’s something for children of all ages in our February Fun Fest programme. Whether you’ve got tiny tots or teenagers, you’re bound to find something to keep them busy whatever the weather this February.”
You can pick up a February Fun Fest programme of events from outlets such as Libraries and Neighbourhood hubs, including Riverside House, Clifton Park Museum and Rotherham Visitor Centre, or view it online.
Details of the individual organisations events can also be found on their websites or social media pages.
