Rotherham Council is reminding residents who have received an electoral form recently to complete it promptly.
Around 49,000 households in Rotherham have still not returned their details as part of this year’s electoral canvass.
People must check whether the information that appears on the form for those living at their address is correct.
The household canvass is carried out annually to ensure that the electoral register is up to date and to identify any residents who are not registered so that they can be encouraged to do so.
It's an opportunity for residents to make sure that when elections take place they will easily be able to take part.
While 58% of households have already dealt with their paper form or responded online or by phone, there are still many who haven't.
The quickest and easiest way to respond is by using one of the automated methods, (e.g. online or by phone) - the details are included on the form.
