Save Time, Do it Online - the Council launches Your Account with a chance to win an iPadPublished Wednesday, 12th March 2014
The Council has taken a significant leap forward in the way key services are delivered by introducing an exciting new online service.
In a bid to ensure that our residents receive the best possible service, and can access the services that matter to them whenever they want, the Council has launched ‘Your Account’ - allowing access to personal Council Tax, Benefits, Business Rates and Landlord records.
To help encourage people Save Time and Do it Online, a special competition is being held with the winner receiving a brand new iPad.
Anyone who registers for Your Account and adds their Council Tax service before 18 April will be entered into the competition. The winner of the iPad will be selected on 25 April at 12 noon and will be contacted by email by 2 May.
Your Account is live now, with over 3,250 people already registered. The service is simple, straightforward and easy to use - designed to help customers save time, avoid queues and have the services that matter to them at their fingertips.
Mrs Gundry, from Maltby says, “I do everything online - my banking, shopping, and now my Council Tax. I love being able to view my bill whenever I want, wherever I am, and it’s great knowing I won’t get a paper copy through the post – it saves the Council valuable money, and we’re doing our bit for the environment too!”
The Council is continuing to be innovative and maintain great relationships with customers. It is hoped the initial release of services will allow Your Account to develop and become an essential tool for Rotherham residents, businesses and others.
Your Account is available around the clock on any internet-enabled device, and free internet access is available in all of Rotherham’s libraries.
