A Spring Discovery Day took place at Thrybergh Country Park, which was was attended by over 300 people.
It was lovely to see so many families in attendance.
Children enjoyed making bird feeders, which they could take home to attract birds into their own gardens. In addition, they took part in Easter themed arts and crafts, plus a scavenger hunt to complete around the park. To top it off, the treasure trail led children and families around a section of the park, seeking out hidden clues. Once all the clues were solved, children could claim their free prize!
The Neighbourhoods and Parks team would like to pass on their thanks to Bramley and Ravenfield Ward councillors and Dalton and Thrybergh ward councillors for funding the resources and prizes. This ensured that the activities were free to all who attended.
We'd also like to extend our thanks to Asda in Dalton for donating a number of chocolate eggs.
It certainly was a beautiful day for it, and we look forward to seeing you at the next Discovery Day event.
