Rotherham Council is set to share the latest update on its plans for the £11m improvement of Dinnington town centre.

This follows public feedback on the plans at a consultation event held in the town in autumn 2023.

The investment will improve the quality of the environment by providing new and improved commercial units, public open spaces and safer, clearer pedestrian links between the bus station, car parks and the high street. These changes are expected to boost the local economy and diversify the local offer.

The events will be held on:

Monday 18 March, 7pm to 8pm, Lyric Theatre, Laughton Road

Friday 22 March, 9am to 12 noon on Laughton Road (next to the former indoor market).

Outline plans will be available on the Council website from Friday 15 to Friday 29 March. https://www.rotherham.gov.uk/rotherham-future

Cabinet Member for Jobs and the Local Economy, Cllr Denise Lelliott: “These planned changes are great news for Dinnington and we want as many people as possible to come along and see where the improvements will be made.”

The scheme is being funded by a grant from the Government which was secured by the Council in Summer 2023, as a result of the Levelling Up bid that was submitted in 2022.
