Food and Drink
The ground floor of The Waterfront is home to our public café, it is open seven days a week and offers a range of food and drink options within Rother Valley Country Park With a dedicated dog-friendly area, your four-legged companion can join you while you relax and enjoy a drink or bite to eat. We kindly ask that all dogs remain on a lead at all times.

Afternoon Tea
Enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea in the beautiful surroundings of Rother Valley Country Park. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, catching up with friends, or simply treating yourself, our Afternoon Tea offers the perfect way to relax and unwind.
Afternoon Tea is available Monday to Friday at 1:30pm, 2:00pm, 2:30pm, 3:00pm and 3:30pm. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required, and full payment is required at the time of booking.
Please advise us of any dietary requirements when making your reservation.

The Waterfront events venue, located above The Waterfront Café, is the perfect place to bring people together and create memorable occasions.
With flexible event spaces, catering options and picturesque waterside surroundings, it provides an ideal setting for a wide range of events, including birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, family celebrations, charity fundraisers, community events and private dining experiences.

How to Find Us
The Waterfront Café and Events Venue is located on the lake within Rother Valley Country Park, next to the Water Sports Centre and Car Park. Situated on the border of Rotherham, Sheffield and Derbyshire, the park is easily accessible from across South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

By Car
The Waterfront is located just off Junction 31 of the M1 motorway and is well signposted.
From Junction 31, take the A57 towards Sheffield or Rotherham, then follow the A618 and brown tourist signs to Rother Valley Country Park. Ample parking is available throughout the park, including parking close to The Waterfront. At the Water Sports Car Park.
By Bus
The park is surrounded by a number of local bus routes connecting Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.
The nearest bus stops to the south entrance of the park are located in Killamarsh, approximately a 20-minute walk away. Services include:
- 120k and X30 - Sheffield services
- 123 - Eckington services
- 80 - Chesterfield services
Additional services stop in Wales Bar, approximately 20 to 25 minutes' walk from the main visitor area:
- X5 - Sheffield, Maltby and surrounding areas
- 21 - Rotherham services
- 26 - Swallownest and surrounding areas

By Tram
The nearest tram stop is Waterthorpe on the Sheffield Supertram Blue Route.
From Waterthorpe, the park is approximately a 20 to 25-minute walk via signposted public footpaths.
