Areas Subject to Selective Licensing
Rotherham has made six Designations for selective licensing which commenced on 15 February 2026.
The areas under the Designations are parts of:
- Eastwood / Clifton / Boston Castle / Town Centre
- Masbrough / Kimberworth
- Thurcroft
- Dinnington
- Brinsworth
- Parkgate
The designations came into force on 15 February 2026 and will normally last for 5 years. Private Landlords who are not exempt from selective licensing, must hold a licence for the 2026 to 2031 scheme from this date or they commit an offence.
