Roads improvement programme

How the maintenance programme works

We often carry out work on roads that don’t appear to be in poor condition. We do this to maintain our road network in the best possible way.

If we only concentrated on roads that were in a poor state, the budget would be quickly spent and leave many roads outstanding.

We inspect all our roads to make sure they meet national safety standards. We always give high priority to any dangerous defects.

If you think a road needs resurfacing you can request that we come and inspect the road.
