eyes and ears

eyes and ears

Be the ‘eyes’ and ‘ears’ of your community -

against child sexual exploitation

In Rotherham we must continue to be vigilant, and together - you, our partners, our businesses and our communities - we all have a responsibility to protect our young people from such harm.

Know how to spot the signs

It has been a very difficult few months.

The failings identified in the Jay report have shaken our town.

Now is the time for us to move forward together to make sure that what has happened can never be repeated.

We all have a role to play

Already a number of organisations have made a commitment to lend their support; raising awareness and understanding amongst their staff, volunteers, friends and families in making a public pledge to stand against Child Sexual Exploitation.

Now we asking you to join the Rotherham Standing Together Against Child Sexual Exploitation campaign, by signing up to the pledge.

Our young people were brave enough to tell their story. Now we are taking steps to make sure people are held to account for the failings of the past and that survivors of sexual abuse can now begin to access the support that they need.

Now by standing together we will keep Rotherham’s children safer

There are simply no excuses. We sincerely hope you will join us.

Support the Standing Together campaign by;

  • showing your public support for the pledge - display the pledge sticker
  • making sure your staff or volunteers can spot the signs and know how to report it
  • knowing it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect our young people
