How to get your vehicle released

To release your vehicle, you will need to go the pound and produce one of the following documents:

  • Vehicle registration document
  • Formal proof of purchase of the vehicle

And one of the following, with photographic identification:

  • A valid passport
  • A current UK driving licence

Plus one of the following, which must be dated within the last three months:

  • Utility bill
  • Benefits letter
  • Telephone bill (land line only)
  • Bank statement

You will also have to pay the following fees to the pound:

  • The amount of the penalty charge notice (PCN) which was issued at the time the vehicle was removed
  • The vehicle removal charge - £105.00
  • Vehicle storage charge - £12 per day, starting at midnight of the day after removal
The pound will accept payment by cash, credit or debit card.
