Rotherham Charter and Genuine Partnerships

The Genuine Partnerships team involves an equal partnership between RMBC, facilitated by the EPS, and Rotherham Parent Carer’s Forum, that aims to further embed the principles of the Rotherham Charter (Four Cornerstones) across our schools, colleges, settings and services:

  • welcome and care
  • value and include
  • communicate
  • work in partnership

At the heart of these is trust

This work is nationally recognised as best practice in co-production and the team is commissioned by other local areas to offer support.

A key aspect of the work of Genuine Partnerships in Rotherham is VOICES, a process involving all SEND partners working together on 3 identified co-production priorities for the children, young people, parent carers and families in Rotherham which has helped shape a refreshed SEND Strategy:

“Believe ”

“Get me help quicker”

“Make transitions to adulthood better and plan them with me”
