Forty-four new apartments have been unveiled as part of the latest Rother Living development in Rotherham Council’s ambitious plans to build a thousand new Council homes in the borough.

The Broom Hayes development consists of:

  • 20 x 2 bed apartments available for Shared Ownership
  • 12 x 2 bed apartments for Council rent
  • 12 x 1 bed apartments for Council rent

The show home opens this week and enquiries and reservations are already being taken from people wanting to snap up a home in the heart of Rotherham.

Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Amy Brookes, said: “Rotherham Council has a long history of creating homes across the borough and the development at Broom Hayes shows that we are still as committed now as we were over 100 years ago. We plan to build a thousand new homes for the people of Rotherham to enjoy.

“It’s great news that people will be able to get a feel for what these new homes will be like with the opening of the show home. We want to ensure that local residents have access to high quality affordable homes.

“Broom Hayes is an exciting step forward in the Council’s continued plans to regenerate the borough and make Rotherham a place where people want to live, work and spend their leisure time.”
