BDR (Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham) Waste Partnership is running a public consultation to find out what people think of the household waste recycling service it provides across the region.

Residents are being invited to share their opinions of the service by taking a quick survey. This will help see if improvements can be made in Rotherham and the two other Council areas served by the Partnership.

Councillor Dominic Beck, Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, said: “We’re always keen to hear what people think of the services they receive from the Council. Good or bad, public feedback is essential to helping us improve and I’d urge residents to complete the quick and easy survey.”

The survey will be open on Monday 6 June and run to Sunday 31 July 2022, inclusive. It is expected that the survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. Take the survey.

Anyone who is unable to complete the survey online can collect a paper copy from any Household Waste Recycling Centre or the following libraries and Council offices.

  • Car Hill, Greasbrough HWRC
  • Magilla, North Anston HWRC
  • Warren Vale, Rawmarsh HWRC
  • Lidget Lane, Bramley HWRC
  • Riverside House Customer Service Centre
  • Rawmarsh Library
  • Maltby Library
  • Aston Library

Once the consultation has been completed, the results will be published on the websites of the three Councils.

The Partnership is also keen to investigate if household waste recycling centres can be changed to allow small and medium-sized local business and enterprises to use their sites to dispose of their commercial waste. As a result, the Councils are also seeking responses from local business on their waste disposal needs.
