Council Tax support

The Council takes into account income for the War Pensions when Council tax support is being calculated.

Homelessness 

Rotherham Council offer support and help whether you are homeless or worried about becoming homeless, we will give you advice based on your own circumstances. If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness in Rotherham it is important that you get the advice you need as soon as possible. You can do this by contacting our Homelessness Team on 01709 336009.

Help4homesless Veterans

Help4homelessVeterans is a South Yorkshire based Charity that provides support for veterans that are facing homelessness. They work with private landlords and housing associations to provide help and support to veterans.

Stoll

Stoll provide affordable high-quality housing and support services to enable vulnerable and disabled veterans to enable their residents to live independent lives. They work with both housing associations and local authorities across the country to ensure they're able to find appropriate accommodation for the individual. They also work in partnership with leading providers of drug, alcohol, and mental health services to support the veteran community.

Op Fortitude

Op Fortitude, is a new government funded initiative, which is a dedicated referral pathway for homeless veterans and those sleeping on the streets.

Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and the organisations working with them are encouraged to contact the Op FORTITUDE hotline from Monday 3 July 2023 on 0800 952 0774 or through a secure web portal at riv.org.uk/opfortitude.
