We love books, and we love talking about them! Join us for lively, interesting debate in a friendly and relaxed setting.

We read all sorts of books, and no genre is taboo! Everyone can influence the choice of book and everyone's opinion counts!

We are not a stuffy group, but a warm and welcoming one where the socialising is just as important as the reading.

Some groups have tea/coffee, cake and even wine clubs - contact us for details.

Come along and get involved with other members of your community in a litter pick.

All litter picking equipment is provided and all volunteers old and new are welcome to come along. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Even if you can only stop for an hour all are welcome at this friendly community event.

It's a great way to get out and about, meet others and improve our environment.

We'll help you log into Learny My Way, a website of free online courses for beginners, helping you develop digital skills to make the most of the online world.

Help with everything from getting started; using a keyboard and mouse, to setting up an email account, surfing the internet and much more. In our friendly, informal courses you'll be able to go at your own pace and relax in the knowledge that staff are always on hand to help. We have computers available for you to use for free, and free internet access too!

The WonderDome Mobile Planetarium provides mobile space shows to hundreds of schools and many other local organisations across the UK, and it is coming to Swinton Library!.

The WonderDome Mobile Planetarium provides mobile space shows to hundreds of schools and many other local organisations across the UK. The presenters are astronomy specialists and teachers who create and deliver interactive space shows in their inflatable space domes, with a maximum capacity of 20 children per showing.
