ARMED FORCES DAY 2025

Time: 10am to 2pm
Rotherham has a long and proud history of supporting the Armed Forces community and the borough is home to one of the biggest Armed Forces Day celebrations in the region.
Led by the Council, in collaboration with our Armed Forces community, the event will provide an opportunity to come together and thank those who have fought for our country, as well as showing our support for those currently serving.
This year’s event in the town centre will include a military parade, followed by a parade inspection, Act of Worship and speeches and Cadet displays. There will also be entertainment and stalls taking place at All Saints' Square.

Town centre parade and entertainment timings
- 10am - Marching contingents report to Parade Commander and parade forms up on College Street.
- 10.20am - Parade moves off, led by marching band with military contingents, cadets and veterans.
- 10.35am - Parade inspection.
- 10.50am - Act of Worship and speeches
- 11.10am - Performance by marching band.
- 11.20am - Parade to march off the Square
All Saints Square timings
- 11.30am – Maltby Brass Band
- 12noon – Sea Cadet demonstration
- 12.15pm – Army Cadet demonstration
- 12.30pm – Performance TBC
- 1pm – Performance by Miss Trixie
- 1.55pm – Dakota Aircraft Flypast
Effingham Street timings
- Military stalls and vehicles 10am – 2pm
Free parking is available on Saturdays in all Council-owned off-street car parks in Rotherham town centre.
