About us
Breakout arts are a professional theatre and collaborative arts company who provide projects and collaborations with partners to provide young people and communities in and around Rotherham with activities.
These enhance educational and transferable skills, employability and social skills, confidence and self-esteem, creativity, physical confidence and imagination and sustain. They also enhance health and wellbeing, promote social networks and friendships, and give a voice to those who are not heard.
We work with a range of groups including young people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds. The sessions take place in town centre Annexe Rotherham Civic theatre on a Saturday.
We deliver to age range 8 years old to 18 years (25 Years old if SEND). All are welcome, we are inclusive.
The session then focusses on various skills including confidence building, communication, team- work and performance skills as well as self-expression, self-esteem boosting and creativity and imagination
Breakout also write and tour new professional shows with local professional actors and have toured Shakespeare and other set texts.’ They are also keen to recruit schools to restart the Rotherham Shakespeare festival.
