About us
Our Chat n Chill Autism group is aimed at young people aged 13-19 who have or are awaiting a diagnosis of autism.
We offer young people the opportunity to come together to support each other through social and informal education.
We offer small group work activities to encourage participation and encourage feedback and evaluation which ensures we understand young peoples needs and are open to change to ensure good practise. Keeping the voice of the child central to everything we do.
Our youth workers support the young people to make informed choices and promote good physical and mental health to help to reduce health equalities and support them to build healthy relationships and friendships as the young people who attend are often lonely and isolated and struggle to make connections with peers similar to themselves.
We ensure our sessions are fun/safe and inclusive and are delivered by qualified youth workers who provide activities which help to teach the young people life skills/independence/social skills supporting them with their transition through to adulthood.
