About us
Maltby Minors Youth Theatre Group was founded in 1991, we aim to promote Drama and Musical Theatre for all Young People between the ages of 9 to 25 years old.
Our aim is to provide a safe, secure and inclusive environment for Young People to come together to learn new skills or enhance current skills through Drama, Dance, Music and Singing.
We hold sessions twice a week and each Young Person is encouraged to take part in a wide variety of activities to gain confidence in working in groups, as well as on their own, enabling them to grow as an individual, improving confidence, communication and social skills.
We aim to showcase all the skills developed into 1 or 2 performances a year at a local theatre or performance space, where family, friends and the local community can attend.
As we are part of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA), we offer all our Young People the opportunity to receive NODA Long Service Awards and Medals to show our appreciation for continuing with the group.
We also like to treat our Young Peoples hard work by taking them on local theatre trips, where our Young People gain experience by watching other local societies perform.
