About us
Cub Scouts (ages 8 to 10)
Our Cub program builds upon the Beaver experience, offering more challenging activities and opportunities for leadership. Cubs participate in more advanced outdoor skills, cooking, pioneering projects, community service, exploring local history. They work towards badges and develop their teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Scouts (ages 10 to 14)
The Scout section offers a greater level of independence and adventure. Scouts participate in activities such as camping trips, hiking, orienteering, survival skills training, leading activities for younger sections, and participating in district/regional events. They have opportunities to develop leadership skills, plan their own activities, and work towards achieving their Chief Scout Gold Award.
Explorer Scouts (ages 14 to 18)
Explorers focus on personal growth and challenge. Our group does not run an Explorer unit; however, they are still involved in the capacity of "Young Leader", providing an invaluable opportunity to develop skills for further education and employment.
Beyond these age-specific programs, we also offer Regular Group Nights.
Our weekly meetings on Monday and Wednesday, provide a consistent opportunity for Scouts to connect with their peers, participate in activities, and learn new skills. These nights filled with fun, friendship, and adventure! Special Events and Trips.
Throughout the year, we organise special events such as overnight hikes, visits to local attractions, and community service projects. These events broaden our Scouts' horizons and create lasting memories.
Community Involvement
We actively encourage our Scouts to participate in community service projects, fostering a sense of civic responsibility and giving back to the Maltby community. This includes litter picks, helping at local events, and supporting elderly residents.
