
About us
SYPA supports young people (aged 10 to 25) who have autism, Asperger, dyspraxia, dyslexia, mental health difficulties and who are part of the LGBTQI+ community to improve their mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing via acting, singing, dancing, and group workshops. Combining welfare, wellbeing and wellness with the arts.
Our sessions include:
- emotional, physical and mental wellbeing support via the ‘are you ok?’ scheme and mental health workshops
- acting and improvisation – exploring emotions, creative writing, and song writing
- kills development for job applications, and college and university interviews (role play), and singing and vocal health
- dancing, fitness, and stamina
- building creative arts, including costume and arts and crafts
- nutrition and healthy lifestyle coaching
- budget management
- how to cope using social media
- self-care toolkits to work through anxiety, low moods, difficult relationships with food. Learn more about pride-in-self, image, and chat about body image, and maintaining personal care
