New Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) School at Dinnington Campus

Rotherham Council is taking forward plans to create a new specialist school for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in the borough.

It is proposed that the new school would be based at part of the former Dinnington College Campus, off Doe Quarry Lane in Dinnington. Under the proposals, a separate building within the campus would also host young people currently based in the Upper School at Newman Special School, which would allow the current site to be demolished and replaced with a new modern, purpose-built facility.

You can read more about the proposals in our press release and the report approved by the Council’s Cabinet in November 2020.

We want to hear more from local people and other interested parties about their views on our plans. Please take 5 minutes to complete the form below and tell us what you think.
