Adopt a kiosk scheme

Information on adopt a kiosk scheme (where local communities can adopt a traditional red ‘heritage’ phone box) is available on the BT website.

Adopt a Kiosk Scheme | BT Business

Organisations such as parish or town councils, and Registered Charities can apply to adopt their traditional red ‘heritage’ phone box, where all the telephony equipment is removed but the housing remains. The phone box becomes the property of the adopting community.

If your organisation is interested in adopting one of the phone boxes proposed for closure, please advise BT and also let us know by 5pm on 4 April 2025 by emailing planning.policy@rotherham.gov.uk.
