Have your say on our Adult Social Care Vision and Strategy

Following this consultation, your responses will help form a final version of the strategy which will go to Cabinet for approval in 2024. Cabinet is a group of councillors and the Leader who take most of the decisions about what the Council does. Cabinet recommends the budget and key policy proposals for agreement. It also develops and implements most Council policies.

Getting Involved

To achieve the best outcomes for people, we recognise the importance of putting the person at the heart of everything we do. That means involving people in the things that matter to them and making sure we design our services based on the views of people who need them.

If you would like to get involved in having a say on Adult Social Care then why not join our Adult Social Care Co-Production Panel which we plan to launch in 2024. Think Local Act Personal explain the term co-production as a way of working, whereby everybody works together on an equal basis to create a service or come to a decision which works for them all. See the Think Local Act Personal website for more information.

The panel will co-produce, co-design and co-evaluate our care services, policies and practices to ensure the voice of the person who accesses our services is central to their design. If you would like to get involved, please tick the option ‘Get Involved’ in section 3 on the questionnaire.

We are intending to launch the new strategy and vision in April 2024.
